Free worksheets
Print this page, or use your browser's print dialog and choose "Save as PDF." Nothing you type here is uploaded. These three sheets are the free set. The paid kit, when the files are finished, adds fillable versions and a correspondence tracker with more rows. There is no email gate. A mailing list is not connected, and this page will not pretend that one is.
Use them in this order. The ancestor profile holds the facts you already trust. The comune finder is where a vague "from Naples" becomes a municipality. The record log is where you write what you searched, including the searches that found nothing.
1. Ancestor profile
One person. Use a second copy for the spouse. Leave a line blank rather than guess.
2. Comune finder
Fill this before you browse a register. A port is not a birthplace.
Next step after a confirmed comune: Antenati, then FamilySearch.
3. Record and correspondence log
One row per search or letter. "Nothing found" is a result. Write it down so you do not repeat the same browse.

The printable sheets above are free on purpose. If you want the Italian letter files and the longer glossary beside them, that is the kit, which is described on its own page and is not downloadable until checkout is connected.
